Er wird sich allemal rentieren, aber wenn jemand schon die Bilder den Panzerfreunden zur Verfügung zu stellt, anstatt sie zu verkaufen, dann hat wenigstens als Lohn eine Nachricht ins Altersheim verdient.
Otto hat Hunderte von Panzerangriffen im Laufe der Jahre von 1941-45 gefahren.
Im Altersheim, mag es auch noch so schön und gepflegt sein, herrscht Einsamkeit und Langeweile. Zu Otto´s Vergangenheit hat niemand ausser uns vom PANZERREGIMENT 35 einen Bezug. Als Dank soll ihm eine Freude gemacht werden.
Hallo Hans-Juergen! Once again I wish to thank you for your amazing PzrRgt35 blog and other related blogs. You obviously spend much time, effort, and passion in maintaining these very informative, educational historical websites. I have thoroughly enjoyed viewing the photos and records that you have made available and especially appreciate the special posting of Lt. Gsell's photos ... as I have shared these photos with my family and friends here in the USA and they have enjoyed seeing them, as well. I believe your blog give a unique insight into the everyday lives and struggles of the men of Panzer Regiment 35 during WW2 and allows others, outside of Germany, to see that all soldiers of all nations and throughout history, live and experience the same things during wartime. My wife's father (living) is a US Army Air Corps veteran of WW2 (he was a Staff Sergeant 'Ball-turret' gunner on a B-25 'Liberator' bomber in the Pacific theater) and flew many missions. I have spoken to him many times of his wartime experiences in the Pacific ... and I look forward to seeing him in 2012 (when my wife and I visit him in New Orleans next year.) At that time, I will be showing him the Panzer Regiment 35 blog and especially Lt. K.H. Gsell's photos and I will enjoy his seeing the many personal photos of Lt. H.K. Gsell, his comrade Fritz Schneider, Major von Cossel, and all the other brave men of Panzer Regiment 35. I know he will greatly enjoy seeing Lt. K.H. Gsell's photos and the PzrRgt35 blog. Thanks!
